There comes a time in every romantic relationship where things start to get a little more comfortable and a little less exciting. For some couples, this can be the point where the relationship takes a turn for the worst. However, it doesn’t have to be that way! Try out these three activities to put some excitement back into your relationship:
Take a dance class: Most people are really hesitant when it comes to dancing in public. I completely understand, but if you’re going to dance anywhere, why not do it in a dance class where everyone else is just as shy? Trust me, no one is looking at you when they’re busy trying to learn the moves themselves! Dancing with your significant other is a fun way to exercise and release some endorphins, which in turn improves your mood. It’s also a great way to get your body close to his and work in-sync together. Whether you take a ballroom dancing or hip hop class, just have fun with it. Shake your booty, laugh, and enjoy the activity with your guy.
Read a book or a magazine: Whether you’re an avid reader or not, reading with someone can spark up some interesting conversations. If the main character in a novel is going through something difficult, take time to chat about what you’d do if you were in a similar situation. These are moments where you may learn something about your boyfriend that you’ve never even thought to ask before. Similarly, magazines are usually filled with articles that ask questions of their readers or include surveys to be filled out. Use these questions as conversation starters and have a healthy debate with your guy. When you’re at the point where you think you know everything there is to know about your partner, it’s exciting to discuss some new topics.
Go on a road trip: Going on a road trip can be spontaneous and adventurous. Plan or no plan, just get in the car and go! Pack some snacks and stop at a park along the way or try out a new-to-you restaurant. Go wherever the drive takes you for as long as you want to. Listen to some new music, have some good conversation, admire your surroundings. Basically, just set aside some time to be carefree – you never know what you may find on your journey!
Don’t let a relationship slump get you down. If you believe in the relationship, strive to make it work and have some fun!
